Had a great time playing with the Madwort Menagerie yesterday – not often I get to do a whole gig on bass clarinet! I was guesting with this band, really fun to play Tom’s music in a different context.

Tomorrow night, Alvorada are playing at one of our favourite venues, The Harrison. We’ll be featuring special guest Milena Sá on pandeiro.

First gig of the year for Alvorada! Lots of exciting things coming up, including our debut album launch. Watch this space…

Showstopper: The Improvised Musical has just begun a two-month run at The Other Palace in Victoria. This show is an absolute joy to be part of – amazing skills, creativity, ingenuity and humour on display, and I’m excited to have a whole bunch of shows to look forward to. This run will also include the 1000th Showstopper performance – an incredible achievement. (I estimate I’ve done around 70 of them!)
I’ll be appearing on these dates: Jan 25, 29, 31; Feb 5, 8, 19, 20, 22, 26; March 7, 12, 14, 15.

A little outing at Biddle Bros for my original music. I don’t play this music all that often – however in March I’ll be recording it as an album, which has been something I’ve wanted to do for a while now. Great to get it up and running again at last night’s gig.

Welcome to my new website! I hope you’ll enjoy exploring my musical comings and goings. I’ll be updating it with news on gigs and other happenings, as well as occasional musical thoughts and musings. Lots of exciting things lined up for 2019 so far.
